Hiking in Sharon Woods, Columbus

I took a much deserved break today from freelance work and job hunting to enjoy the (possibly) last nice day of weather this fall season.  In some respects, my Cleveland roots have been taking over: yearning for a quintessential pre-holiday winter season, but today I'm happy with the sunshine, brisk breeze, and stale-leaf aroma that pervades my nostrils.

Amazingly, this is one of the few times I have been hiking since my weekly camping and hiking outings of my Boy Scout days which ended 5 years ago.  But a chance run-in with a fellow Eagle Scout, with whom I formally worked at Camp Stigwandish in Madison, Ohio, allowed me to re-connect with a beloved activity and friend.

We hiked every trail.
